Day 5, Madrid
We started the day by visiting Reina Sofía museum which housed Picasso's famous Guernica. We then walked to Prado Museum and enjoyed the masterpieces of Velazquez, Goya, El Greco, and other masters. Afterwards we went to the beautiful Real Jardín Botanical Gardens nearby. In the evening, we walked around the city center and enjoyed a nice dinner at Plaza Santa Ana.
Day 6, Madrid
In the morning, our local guide Federico led us walk along Gran Via to Plaza de España, then to Sabatini Garden. We then toured the spectacular Royal Palace. Afterwards, we walked through the old city center to Plaza Mayor. We had a nice lunch at Las Cuevas de Luis Candelas Restaurant. In the afternoon we went to the beautiful El Retiro Park and National Archaeological Museum. In the evening, we had ice cream at Mercado San Antón and churros at La Escondida de San Ginés.
