Pre Tour, Barcelona
We arrived in Barcelona a day before the start of the tour. We used the extra day visiting many attractions of the city recommended in Rick Steves' Spain tour book, such as Cathedral of Barcelona, La Ramba, and Montjuic Castle.
Day 1, Barcelona
We visited enchanting Park Guell designed by Gaudi, Catalonia History Museum, Maritime Museum, and had lunch at Marina. We met with our guide Jesus Ruiz and our tour group in the evening and had a wonderful dinner together.
Day 2, Barcelona
In the morning, our local guide led us to the breathtaking Sagrada Familia and the dramatic La Pedrera-Casa Milà. Both were great work by Gaudi. In the afternoon, we went to the Sant Miquel Beach to enjoy the Mediterranean sun.
Day 3, Barcelona
In the morning, our local guide led us walk through Old City and visit Picasso Museum in El Born. We then walked around Gothic Quarter enjoying the ancient architecture and cute shops. We had a nice Basque pintxos lunch at Taverna Basca Irati. In the afternoon, we visited Ciutadella Park. We had a nice group dinner in Gothic Quarter.
Day 4, Barcelona, Madrid
Last day in Barcelona. A bus took us for a city tour, then to Catalan Art Museum. Afterwards, we walked around Montjuic to enjoy the panorama view of the city. We then rode the high-speed train and arrived in Madrid in three hours. Our guide Jesus led us toured city Centro and had a wonderful group dinner.
